Social Work and Counselling

We provide assistance with parenting, support to manage children's behaviour, advice and advocacy. Family Works has qualified and experienced staff to assist in your social work and counselling needs.

Counselling can be focused on whatever is needed and may include grief and loss, trauma and relationships.

We do not provide counselling for adult issues if they are not impacting on a child or young person.

Social Work

Social workers help families build on their strengths and support them to achieve their goals.

We provide support in the areas of parenting, strategies and support to manage children’s behaviour, advocacy and advice for families and other support for the many issues families may be facing.

Counselling

Individual and family counselling for children, young people, and their families which builds on their strengths and supports them to achieve their goals. Counselling can be provided to any family or situation where a child or young person is being cared for, up to the age of 18.

We may work with individual members of the family including the children or young people. We may also work with the family as a whole - whatever is in their best interests.
